Behind the Door Lies a Story — Click Here

Once upon a time, there was a huge bungalow in the village of Frankin. I am Anna, the second youngest in this house. I live with my parents, grandparents, and my four siblings—five of us in total. I have three elder brothers: Liam, Jack, and William, and one younger sister, Katie.

One fine day… wait, let me explain the reason first. It was an important part of my life.

Okay, one fine day, my grandparents were going back to their village. We stood at the side of the gate, and by the time they left, we came inside. Katie exclaimed, “I miss our grandparents!” William joyfully said, “Now we can execute our plan!”

The plan was to open a room in our house which had remained locked for years and years. This plan was made three months ago, but the delay was because of our beloved grandparents. They used to sleep at 3am so how could we execute our plan then?

That night, we acted casually, ate our dinner, and went to our bedroom. When the clock struck twelve and began to chime, we woke up. Jack went to the master bedroom where my parents were sleeping, because that’s where the keys were. Later, he came down at 12:30  We had all dozed off on the staircase. He woke us, and we were angry because he took so long. But Jack explained, “Oh my god, it was Mom! She was sooo annoying while sleeping—she kept turning and turning and turning!”

We took the key and opened the lock. I took the duplicate key and the lock with me. We opened the door in silence, and Liam said to keep the lock inside the room.

Inside, it was pitch dark, and only one table stood near the wall. I placed the lock there. We didn’t notice the big hole in the floor—and we all fell into it. We screamed as we tumbled down, but strangely, the fall didn’t hurt. Instead, we landed on soft grass. When we looked around, we realized we were no longer inside the bungalow. The hole had led us to a hidden underground world.

The air smelled fresh, and glowing plants lit up the surroundings. Katie whispered, “Are we… dreaming?” But Liam shook his head, “No. This is real. Look at those lights!”

Ahead of us stood a massive stone archway covered in vines. Strange symbols glowed faintly on its surface. Jack touched the carvings, and suddenly, the archway shimmered, revealing a pathway deeper into the underground land.

William grinned, “This is better than any plan we imagined. We’ve discovered something magical!”

But I felt a chill. Something about the place seemed alive, as if it had been waiting for us. The ground trembled slightly, and from the shadows, a pair of glowing eyes appeared.
The creature stepped forward—a guardian beast with shimmering silver fur and antlers that glowed like moonlight. Its voice echoed in our minds:

“Children of the bungalow… you have opened the forbidden door. Few are chosen, but you are here.”

Katie gasped, clutching my arm. Liam asked, “Why us?”

The guardian lowered its head. “This world was hidden beneath your home long ago. Your ancestors sealed it, fearing its power. But the lock was never meant to last forever. Now, you must decide—will you protect this realm, or let its secrets consume you?”

The archway pulsed with light, showing visions of a crystal kingdom, winged beings soaring through the skies, and a dark shadow creeping at the edges.

Suddenly, glowing stones appeared in our hands—each a different color. Mine was deep blue, Katie’s soft pink, Liam’s fiery red, Jack’s golden, and William’s green.

“These are your soulstones,” the guardian explained. “They hold the essence of your courage, wisdom, and heart. Together, they can awaken the path to the Crystal Kingdom. But beware—the shadow has already sensed your arrival.”

We stepped through the archway into the Crystal Kingdom, towers shimmering like frozen rainbows. Winged guardians, crystal sprites, and stone sages appeared, offering guidance .We faced illusions of our deepest fears. By holding hands, our stones glowed brighter, shattering the darkness.
We crossed a crystal bridge by solving riddles of light, growth, love, fire, and unity. Each answer strengthened the bridge until we reached the heart of the kingdom. The sky cracked open, and the Shadow King descended, cloaked in mist. His voice was cold: “So… the children of Frankin have come. Your ancestors failed to destroy me. Will you succeed?”

Dark creatures poured out, twisting the towers into black spires. Our allies fought bravely, but the Shadow King’s power was immense.

Our stones united, sending a beam of pure light into the Crystal Throne. The kingdom awakened, towers glowing brighter than ever. The Shadow King screamed as the light engulfed him, shattering his mist and banishing him into the abyss.
Silence fell. The kingdom was safe. The guardians bowed: “You are now Protectors of the Crystal Kingdom. The bond of your family has saved us.”

We looked at each other—tired, amazed, and proud. Katie whispered, “Grandma and Grandpa would never believe this.”

The guardian beast nodded. “Your journey has only begun. The kingdom will call upon you again.”

The archway shimmered, opening a path back to our bungalow. We stepped through, carrying our soulstones, knowing that beneath our home lay a world waiting for us whenever destiny called.
